South Korean manufacturer of memory chips SK Hynix has published another report. It includes data for the fourth quarter of 2021 and for the year as a whole.
SK Hynix’s fourth-quarter revenue was $10.22 billion. In the fourth quarter of 2020, it was equal to 6.57 billion dollars, that is, an increase in annual terms amounted to 55%. Operating income in the fourth quarter of 2021 was $3.48 billion. A year ago, this figure was equal to 0.71 billion dollars, that is, an increase in annual terms amounted to 340%. Operating profit margin increased from 12% to 34%. The result of the quarter was a net profit of $2.74 billion. A year ago, this figure was equal to 1.46 billion dollars, that is, an increase in annual terms amounted to 88%.
If we talk about indicators for the whole of 2021, the revenue was $35.50 billion. This is 35% more than in 2020. Operating profit increased by 148% to $10.25 billion. Operating margin increased from 16% to 29%. Finally, net income rose 102% to $7.94 billion.
