Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV electric coupe-crossover announced

Skoda has officially announced the new Enyaq Coupe iV electric coupe-crossover, which will be unveiled to the public on January 31 next year.

The Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV is based on the MEB (modular electrification toolkit) modular electric platform, on which the previously released Enyaq iV crossover is also built. The novelty will have an important trump card in the sleeve in the form of a low drag coefficient of only 0.234.

A more aerodynamically efficient body will result in an increased range. Skoda previously announced that the best version of the Enyaq Coupe iV will be able to travel up to 535 kilometers on a single charge. For comparison: Enyaq iV has a maximum cruising range of 510 km and a drag coefficient of 0.247.

The upcoming Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV will be offered with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, with a choice of two batteries (62 kWh and 82 kWh) and three power plants with 177 hp, 201 hp. and 261 hp. Despite being a coupe version, the car will actually be 1mm taller (and 4mm longer) than the standard Enyaq iV. The alloy wheels will range in size from 19 to 21 inches.

Following a world premiere late next month, the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV is set to go on sale in Europe in the first half of 2022.
