The retailer Svyaznoy shared interesting statistics on the Russian market of wearable devices in the first half of 2021.

In total, from January to June, more than 2.5 million fitness trackers and smartwatches were sold in Russia for a total of almost 22.5 billion rubles, which is 16% more than last year in physical terms and 58% in monetary terms.
The demand for smartwatches grew most intensively. For six months, 1.1 million smartwatches were sold for a total of 19 billion rubles, which is 49% more than last year’s indicators in physical terms and 72% in monetary terms.
The average price of smartwatches in Russia increased by 15% and amounted to 17 thousand rubles. The most popular were Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Amazfit and Honor watches.
At the same time, the segment of fitness trackers decreased by 7% in terms of quantity, but grew by 4% in terms of money. A total of 1.1 million devices were sold for 2.7 billion rubles. The leaders in this category are Xiaomi, Honor, Huawei, Jet and Samsung.
Children’s smartwatches are a separate category. From January to June, the Russians purchased 292 thousand of these watches for over 832 million rubles. Sales in pieces for the year increased by 29%, in money terms the growth was 45%. The most popular baby devices are Jet, Elari, Aimoto, Geozon and Digma.
