When approaching a camera pointed at your car, the application will say something like “Camera to stop line, limit 60”, and on the screen it will show your speed and distance to the camera. If the speed limit is significantly exceeded, there will be a constant sound signal until the speed is reduced or you leave the camera control area.
A constant internet connection is not required during the trip. The radar works offline, the Internet is only needed to update the camera database before the trip.
You can configure a separate icon to quickly launch Smart Driver in the background with another application, for example: Yandex Navigator, Navitel (Navitel), maps, or even the Torque application with ODB and ODB2 data.
A warning about cameras will be shown on top of the main application screen and they can be removed with a single tap if they are in the way.
Keep in mind that the speed determined by GPS is more accurate than by the speedometer of most cars, which show the speed calculated from the speed of rotation of the wheel and its diameter. The wheel diameter is an unstable parameter, so the speed on the speedometer of a car can be lowered by 5–10 km / h at a speed of 110 km / h, by 10% at a speed of 200 km / h. At speeds up to 60 km / h, there is almost no error.
Video recording is performed cyclically, you can choose the recording quality and where to store the recordings: in the device’s memory or on an SD card.
