Due to the US sanctions imposed on Huawei last year, the Chinese company has lost its position in the smartphone market. But that doesn’t mean Huawei has given up. It has already started purchasing top-end Qualcomm SoCs (however, without a 5G modem – this is prohibited by sanctions) and expects to use them in the future. At least that’s what the survey released by Huawei is hinting at.
In it, the company invites users to evaluate a hypothetical smartphone with a 6.6-inch screen and a very serious camera consisting of four sensors with a resolution of 50, 60, 60 and 40 megapixels! One of them is equipped with a telephoto lens providing optical zoom, and the other is equipped with an ultra-wide-angle lens with a viewing angle of 110 °. The cherry on top is a new-generation Snapdragon 898 single-chip platform (apparently, Huawei believes that the successor to the current Snapdragon 888 will be named that way, and not the Snapdragon 895). Such a model is also credited with 110W charging and a price of $ 1240 for the base version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of flash memory.
It is not yet clear how users rate such a smartphone, but even being purely hypothetical, such a model still deserves attention. And the very fact of mentioning the new top-end SoC Qualcomm is also indicative – this means that the company does not intend to give up even under the yoke of American sanctions.
