It became known on which mobile platform the Redmi K40 smartphone is built. Up to this point, it was said that the standard version of the Redmi K40 smartphone can be equipped with one of three single-chip systems: Snapdragon 870, Dimensity 1100 or Dimensity 1200. After the device appeared in the database of the popular Geekbench benchmark, there were no questions left.

Redmi K40 with model number M2012K11AC and codename alioth is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 SoC, 8 GB of RAM and runs Android 11. It scored 1016 points in a single-core test and 3332 points in a multi-core test.

At the moment, it is known that the Redmi K40 will be equipped with a 6.6-inch Samsung AMOLED E4 display with a tiny hole for the front camera. The screen will have Full HD + resolution and support a 120Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with a 4520mAh rechargeable battery that supports 33W fast charging.

The Redmi K40 should get a 64MP camera, while the Redmi K40 Pro will get a 108MP camera and the flagship Snapdragon 888 platform.
