Sony has announced that it has begun accepting applications for the first beta testing program for PlayStation 5 system software.
Another major update to the PS5 system with new features is planned for this year, Sony says, and the company needs help from users testing them. Details of the innovations will be revealed in the coming weeks.
As the manufacturer notes, from today, June 17, 2021, you can register to be able to join the first ever beta testing program for PS5 system software. Registration is open to players over 18 from the US, Canada, Japan, UK, Germany and France.
The Chosen One will receive an email with instructions on how to download the beta version of the following system software. To register, you need a PS5 console with an internet connection and a PlayStation Network account. Such users will also be automatically added to the list of potential contributors to future beta versions of the PS5 system software without re-registration.
Once beta testing begins, the user can optionally restore the system software to the latest official version before the beta testing program ends.
