Sophie of Wessex, military version: increasingly important in the Windsor house

Collected hair and camouflage uniform. Sophie di Wessex visited the RAF Wittering – the station of the Royal Air Force in the north of Cambridgeshire – on the occasion of the Wessex Cup, an annual competition in which Her Majesty’s regiments and military associations face off in a series of tests. Among these, there is even the part e-gaming, where a driving simulator with which the countess also ventured.

After exchanging a few words with the lieutenant Julie Spence, Sophie – 56 years old – has indeed worn the earphones e grabbed the steering wheel in front of the monitor, starting his very personal race of Colin McRae: Dirt 2, a rally videogame: with the concentrated gaze and the cheering of the other soldiers, the countess tried to disconnect the best possible time, before melting into one laugh.

The Wessex Cup is an appointment at which the wife of the Prince Edward, fourth child of the Queen Elizabeth, never gives up as it has been since 2008 Honorary Air Commodore right at RAF Wittering. It is not Sophie’s only military honor that, every day, gains power inside the royal family: since they left the scene Harry e Meghan, has really become a fcut it down.

Expert of public relations, today manages over 70 charities without ever attracting too much attention, blending perfectly commitment and confidentiality. It is no coincidence that she was at the side of the sovereign during the last days of life of the late Prince Philip. And it is no coincidence that it was Sophie herself, even before William e Kate, to inaugurate the new season of real meetings.

For the occasion, in military version.
