In an interview with CNN This Wednesday (17), the meteorologist of the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) Mamedes Luiz Melo said that the South and Southeast regions of Brazil can prepare for a severe cold front that is advancing through the country.
According to the meteorologist, a mass of polar air coming from Argentina causes temperatures to drop from next Friday, “with the possibility of frost in the South region and even in Serra da Mantiqueira, in São Paulo”.
In addition, Mamedes warns that the cold front advancing through the country causes “severe events, such as gusts of wind and rain with hail”.
According to Climatempo, the forecast for the Center-West this Wednesday is of strong sun, very hot and low levels of air humidity in Goiás, in the Federal District and in the north, east and center of Mato Grosso.
