Among the top 11 sectors of the S&P 500, the Energy Index is losing 1.77% under pressure from a more than 2% drop in crude oil prices. Additionally, the 2.6% drop in the 10-year US Treasury yield is weighing on the financial index, which is down 1.3%.
On the other hand, the Technology Index has risen 0.4% as the top performing main sector after the opening bell. Later in the session, market participants will closely follow the June ISM Services PMI.
