Industrial production in Spain rose sharply in November after falling last month, a sign that factory activity strengthened in the middle of the fourth quarter.
Industrial production increased 4.5% in November on a monthly, calendar and seasonally adjusted basis, according to data from the INE statistical service.
This is the highest level since July 2020. In October, industrial production fell by 0.3% on a monthly basis.
On an annual basis, industrial production increased by 4.8% on a calendar and seasonally adjusted basis.
The manufacturing sector in Spain is growing amid strong demand for goods, but supply difficulties and rapid inflation due to high energy prices are holding back growth.
