Due to the lack of various components and disruption of the supply chain, the AvtoVAZ plant decided to produce special simplified versions of some Lada models, which will be less affected by imported components.
Atypical AvtoVAZ Group reports that with the release of simplified trim levels, AvtoVAZ expects to reach the production of at least 30,000 vehicles per month. Moreover, the plant expects to reach such productivity this summer.
It is expected that the first batch of “empty” Lada Granta will start rolling off the assembly line in the last week of June. There was also information that the simplified equipment will receive the designation Special Edition. The SE badge will appear on the bodies of these cars.
Earlier it was reported that the first “empty” cars Lada Granta and Lada Niva without ABS, ESP, ERA-GLONASS, and without airbags will go on sale this summer.
AvtoVAZ intends to continue production of standard configurations of Lada Vesta and Largus, but the volume will be determined by the availability of components.
