Sri Lanka went bankrupt for the first time in its history

In a rather difficult position is the Sri Lankaas for the first time in its history declared bankruptcywith the crisis that has erupted in recent months becoming deeper and deeper.

Mr. Miltos Tenediotis, a Greek living in Colombo, referred to the difficult situations experienced by the citizens.

“Things are difficult here. There are serious shortages in the supply of gas stations, endless queues, shortages in the supply of supermarkets. “There is a crisis but everyone hopes that with the change of government that took place, things will be normalized”, he said initially on the morning show of MEGA and continued:

«The biggest income here is from tourism. Tourism fell due to the coronavirus and did not recover. Many of the tourists who came here were Russians and Ukrainians. Also the previous government was 4 brothers. One family ruled the whole country. “Now the situation has calmed down a bit.”
