They are arriving. It had been talked about for a year already and, after a long gestation, the stories Instagram with vertical scrolling they started to peep out. The social network is indeed carrying out an extensive testing phase the new way of viewing and browsing the contents that disappear (to the others) after 24 hours. By pairing with what, after all, is already happening on TikTok however, as regards the videos published on your profile (do not worry: the stories are also arriving on the Chinese social network, the program for beta testers started a couple of months ago).

Social media expert Matt Navarra (see above) has indeed collected a series of reports of the new layout of Instagram stories from users located in Turkey e Brazil: have received an application update which, although not yet seen elsewhere, could soon reach everyone.
After all, already in February last year the platform led by Adam Mosseri had confirmed work in this direction. Among other things, the visibility of the stories should reward video content – just like the program of making TikTok, which should not support writings and photos except on a video basis – compared to textual ones: just think of thelengthening the duration of the stories up to one minute for each segment (even if it is then divided into four parts by the old 15 seconds each).
There are other movements taking place on the platform, for example the ability to select content on the main page according to a ‘chronological organization as it happened in the past. But vertical stories would be one of the most significant structural updates in recent months. It is difficult to say when they will be available in Italy but the step seems to have been taken with the distribution of the functionality in two important markets, albeit to a small group of users. A matter of weeks, if not days.
