Strengthening Greek-Bulgarian defense cooperation – N. Hardalias in Sofia

The strengthening and upgrading of the defense cooperation for the benefit of the Armed Forces of the two countries and the joint management of the challenges and threats facing Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean were at the center of the meeting that took place today, Monday, June 20, the Undersecretary of National Defense Nikos Hardalias with his Bulgarian counterpart Jordan Bozilov.

As announced, the meeting took place in the context of N. Hardalias’ two-day visit to Bulgaria.

The meeting, the statement added, reaffirmed the strong and friendly relations between the two countries, a pillar of their common strategy and close cooperation within the European Union and NATO, for security, stability and prosperity in the wider Balkan region.

The Undersecretary of Defense also visited the headquarters of the Military Academy “GS Rakovski” where he was welcomed by its commander, Lieutenant General Todor Dochev. N. Hardalias was informed about the organization, the military and academic training programs, while he had a short tour of its facilities.
