Study: Tokenized illiquid assets will reach $16 trillion by 2030

Much of the world’s wealth is held in illiquid assets, and according to the Boston Consulting Group and ADDX, $16.1 trillion in illiquid assets will be tokenized by 2030.

Illiquid assets include assets that are difficult to sell, such as real estate, shares of pre-listed companies, private debt, various pension bonds, physical art, and exotic drinks. What makes such assets illiquid is the high cost for the mass investor, the lack of experts among asset managers, access restrictions, regulatory problems, and a number of other factors. However, the tokenization of illiquid assets can solve most of these problems.
