Last Friday (1st), in Salvador (BA), the suspect was arrested for having ordered the death of a man whose body was abandoned inside a Styrofoam box in Porto da Barra, one of the main tourist attractions in the capital of Bahia.
The murder occurred on July 30th of this year and, according to investigations, was motivated by a dispute between factions.
According to the Public Security Secretariat of Bahia, the prisoner is also identified as a drug trafficker and head of a criminal organization operating in several neighborhoods in the capital of Bahia, such as Tancredo Neves, Uruguay, Garcia and Fazendas Grande III and IV, as well as being the author of attacks in the Calabar neighborhood.
The suspect was located when police officers were patrolling the Uruguay neighborhood. According to the secretariat, some criminals shot, ran and others even jumped from the rooftops. With the arrested man, the police found a 32-caliber revolver, ammunition, 211 pins of cocaine, 24 portions of marijuana, scales and cell phones.
After medical treatment for his injuries during an escape attempt, the criminal was taken to the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP). ]
Upon identification, the civil police officers determined that he was the leader of a faction and that he had a warrant for his arrest. He is the nephew of another drug dealer who worked in the Gamboa neighborhood. Currently, his brother is appointed as leader in that community.
Homicides
In addition to the body found in the cooler, the arrested individual (whose identity was not disclosed) is also suspected of having ordered the death of a taxi driver, in September 2022.
The case happened in the drive-thru of a cafeteria chain in Corredor da Vitória. The man driving a taxi was executed and a passenger was injured.
