Swedish fighters intercepted Russian ID of the Baltic

Swedish fighter aircraft under NATO administration intercepted a Russian ID flying over the Baltic and approaching the Polish airspace, Sweden’s armed forces said. “The aircraft was close to the Polish airspace, so we took off to emphasize our presence, to perform visual identification and accompany it outside the zone,” said a Swedish Air Force spokesman. The Swedish persecution is parked in Malbork, Northern Poland, under the command of NATO and recognized a Russian IL-20 Coot. The operation took place in the international airspace, it is clarified in the announcement of the Swedish Armed Forces, which joined NATO in March 2024. The Baltic Sea has increased after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
