The counting of votes for the new Central Committee of SYRIZA was completed a while ago, without substantially changing yesterday’s picture for those who were elected in the top ten.
Efi Ahtsioglou finally cut the thread first , leaving Rena Dourou in second place. It is recalled that yesterday afternoon, although the head of finance of SYRIZA was first in votes as early as Monday, with the integration of departments, Rena Dourou was found to be ahead, with a few dozen votes.
The first 10 of the New Central Committee
According to information from official results, the first ten of the new Central Committee are elected in this order:
1. Efi Ahtsioglou
2. Rena Dourou
3. Dionysis Temponeras
4. Nikos Pappas
5. Christos Spirtzis
6. Giannis Ragousis
7. Mariliza Xenogiannakopoulou
8. Nassos Iliopoulos
9. Costas Zachariadis
10. Dimitris Tzanakopoulos
The results for those elected to the central committee of more than 300 members, will be announced, according to competent sources, in the coming hours.
Based on the same information, the The first meeting of the new SYRIZA Central Committee will take place on May 28.
It is reminded that in a relevant report by Capital.gr, stated:
The remarkable thing about the beginnings of the new Central Committee which emerged from members of SYRIZA who had been registered in the party until March 21, that is, those who until the last moment came to register on Sunday to vote for Alexis Tsipras, is the resounding absence of members from the umbrella.
“Punishment” for Umbrella
In contrast to the previous nomination of the members of the JV, (she was nominated by the SYRIZA congress in 2016), Prominent party executives with strong party affiliations, such as Nikos Filis and Euclid Tsakalotos who had won, are now out of the top ten
Their net fall from the first positions they had occupied in the JV of 2016, is due – most likely – to the discomfort they caused to the members of SYRIZA at the recent conference. Where they downloaded a separate amendment disagreeing with the proposal of Alexis Tsipras for opening SYRIZA at its base and mainly, with the beautiful scenes that unfolded at the end of the conference, with the tension and quarrel caused over the statute and the votes.
Commonly, it was not just wider “presidents” who prevailed in the top ten of the Central Committee, who were more or less rewarded as bearers of central decisions and propagators of the message for the consolidation and renewal of SYRIZA, but apparently, the ombrela executives were “punished” for internal opposition they exercisedas an awe rival in leadership.
In the other prefectures, no surprises are recorded: First Olga Gerovasili in Epirus, Alexis Haritsis in Peloponnese, P. Polakis in Crete etc.
