“The Mitsotakis sub-state has injured and continues to injure the Republic”, states the SYRIZA PS in a statement on the occasion of the front-page publication of the Editors’ Newspaper which speaks of “a cover-up” of the wiretapping scandal by the Mitsotakis sub-state.
In particular, SYRIZA states that “according to the publication, high-ranking officials of the EYP who are part of the Mitsotakis environment asked the employees to hand over the special type of official surveillance USBs with the aim of destroying them” and “all this after ADAE’s announcement that it is finally moving forward in controls”.
The official opposition underlines that “the government must immediately provide convincing answers and the competent institutions, Justice and AIA, should act with an urgent procedure and examine the officials responsible for the monitoring”.
“It is the duty of all of us to put an end to this downward spiral”, notes SYRIZA.
