A teenager and fan of Taylor Swift died of cancer at the age of 16. Ally Anderson became known on social media for having received as a gift from the singer the hat she wore during the performance of the song “22”, at a concert held in the city of Cincinnati, in the United States.
Ally had been facing the disease for five years. In an interview with People magazine, her mother, Patty Garner Anderson, said that the moment of interaction between fan and idol “intensely changed” her daughter’s life.
“I haven’t seen Ally smile and laugh like that in a long time,” he mentioned. She also recalled that the teenager had been a fan of Taylor since she was a child and that she went to another of the artist’s shows in 2015, when she was eight years old.
The young woman published on Tiktok the moment she received the accessory from Taylor. “There are no words to describe it,” she wrote. The affection for the celebrity was so great that Ally had a snippet of the singer’s song “The 1” tattooed on her body.
