Taylor Swift releases album “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”, with five new tracks

American singer Taylor Swift released this Friday (27th) the re-recording of her album “1989”, now titled “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”.

Containing 21 tracks, fans of the blonde will be able to listen to the songs that have been successful since October 27, 2014, exactly 9 years ago.

Taylor Swift also included five new “From de Vault” tracks on this album: “’Slut!’”, “Say Don’t Go”, “Now That We Don’t Talk”, “Suburban Legends” and “ Is It Over Now?”

The album “1989” has very important tracks such as “Bad Blood”, which was re-recorded again with singer and rapper Kendrick Lamar, in a remix version.

In fact, with “1989”, Taylor Swift won “Album of the Year” at the 2016 Grammys, and two other awards for “Best Song” and “Record of the Year” with the song “Blank Space”.

On her social network, she shared and announced the release of the re-recording to her followers and fans. “The album ‘1989’ changed my life in countless ways. […] To be quite honest, this is my favorite re-recording I’ve done so far, because the 5 tracks on ‘From The Vault’ are insane. I don’t believe they were left behind,” said the pop diva.

Why does Taylor Swift re-record her albums?

When Taylor ended her contract with her first record label, Big Machine Records, where she produced the six albums “Taylor Swift” (2006), “Fearless” (2008), “Speak Now” (2010), “Red” (2012), “1989″ (2014) and “Reputation” (2017), the record company held the rights to the “masters” (first complete version of the songs), while Taylor maintained the copyright to the songs.

However, they all came under the control of businessman Scooter Braun, during his acquisition of the record label. Now, with another record label, Taylor Swift has begun re-recording her first six albums with the aim of regaining the rights to the songs.
