Teacher invests his salary to feed his students

There are two kinds of teachers in the world: those who limit themselves to teaching and grading, and those who leave their mark on our hearts, as did Thoro Samuel Shili, a teacher from South Africa who went viral for helping his students of low resources.

Samuel knows that most of his pupils attend school without having eaten or eaten breakfast in days, which is evident not only in their physical appearance, but also in the fatigue and distraction they show in class. To try to lessen this, he invests part of his salary in food and thus offers them a breakfast full of love.

Samuel admits that his salary is quite low, but he does his best to invest a few coins in feeding his students anyway. You usually buy cereal, whole grain bars, milk and fruit, which although they are not all the components of a complete breakfast, help them to mitigate hunger, nourish themselves to a certain level and forget about the bad times.

His story was shared on social networks and so far he has received thousands of reactions, as well as comments in which people and even some civil associations offer him help to continue with his acts of kindness.

Your students will never forget

Samuel took his passion for teaching outside of the classroom and this will leave a significant mark on the hearts of his students. His work inspires, improves lives and gives hope to those who need it most.

We hope that both his love and the cereal dishes he serves will reach every classroom he walks into, fill his students with strength, and continue to make this world a better place.
