Team Group develops DDR5 SO-DIMM modules

As you know, in December, Team Group announced the development of DDR5 U-DIMM memory modules for desktop systems. Development of DDR5 SO-DIMM modules is in full swing, according to a new message posted on the manufacturer’s website. These modules are designed for laptops and mini PCs. The Team Group believes it will be the first to test DDR5 memory on new Intel and AMD platforms.

Team Group develops DDR5 SO-DIMM modules

The early DDR5 SO-DIMM specifications are similar to U-DIMMs. With a supply voltage of 1.1 V, the 16 GB module operates at an effective frequency of 4800 MHz. It supports ECC.

Team Group stresses that this is just the beginning. Cooperating with motherboard manufacturers, the company hopes to achieve even higher performance.
