More than a day after the launch of a paid subscription with exclusive features, the Telegram messenger changed its price. Starting today, June 21, the price of Telegram Premium is 299 rubles instead of the original 379 rubles when making a purchase through the official @PremiumBot bot. The reduced payment amount is relevant both for future subscribers and for the first wave of Telegram Premium users. Thus, at the next debit from the bank card account, 80 rubles less will be withdrawn.
Pavel Durov and the Telegram team did not comment on such an early price cut. Most likely, the update is due to the numerous criticism towards Telegram Premium. Users drew attention to the high cost of the subscription and noted that for a surprisingly high price for a messenger, the service in general does not offer anything special.
