BBC Studios is teaming up with Reality+ to integrate their products into the Sandbox metaverse. Titles will include popular shows like Doctor Who and Top Gear.

In the Metaverse, players will be able to design their NFT lots inspired by films, series and shows from the British National Media Holding.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how fans interact with our brands in the virtual space,” says BBC Studios head of licensing Nicki Sheard.

This will be the first BBC project in the Metaverse. Entertainment and fashion brands such as Warner Music Group, Ubisoft, Gucci Vault, The Walking Dead and Adidas have already joined Sandbox.

The launch of the BBC Studios metaverse at The Sandbox is scheduled for the end of the year. Reality+ co-founder Tony Pearce said the partnership with BBC Studios “will help push the boundaries of what’s possible in the metaverse” and “bring new exciting experiences to fans of these world-famous TV shows.”
