Between Iran and Israel The war continues. After The killing of 9 Iranian scientists who worked on the Iran nuclear project by the Jewish statethe bombings were constant. Last night, between Saturday and Sunday, Israel has affected important energy infrastructures in Iran, while at least Ten people were killed in Israel by Iranian missiles launched on different cities. The two countries continue to repeat that they have no intention of stopping and rather intensify attacks.
Israel also killed some Iranian military leaders, destroying the country’s military command chain. The tactic seems the same used against Hamas and Hezbollah, groups supported by Iran, and which in recent months have been strongly weakened by Israel.
We interviewed ** Shirin Abbasiasbagh, Iraniana 52 years old, scientist and today’s company manager who lives in the province of Turin **, to make us tell his feelings and concerns.
The interview with Shirin Abbasiasbagh
Shirin, how is the situation in his country?
«The situation is very tragic, not easy to read and not of easy conclusions. Israel’s targets are all military and therefore the damage to civilians fortunately is minimal. Continuous announcements are made to give the alert and say to move away from centers at risk ».
But what is going on?
«We must not lose sight of Iran’s situation to understand it. We Iranians have been undergoing a kind of employment from an dictatorial regime since 1979 who immediately began to persecute people, imprison them, hange them. Since today, it does not pass a week without a pocket. So the alarm is not only given by the bombings of Israel. For decades, the Iranian people have lived with an internal enemy and many Iranians in some way, paradoxically, understand Israel. That said the enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my friend. But the Ayatollah regime, with what it has been doing since 1979, means that, even for the Iranians, it is difficult to consider it as a compatriot, as on the same side ».
These attacks, even if they are not aimed at civilians, are destroying precious infrastructures of Iran.
«Yes, we are witnessing the destruction of infrastructure and everything we need for a tomorrow of freedom. Last nights were affected by petrochemistry sites and refineries, they are all essential resources for our future ».
How do you feel?
«As if we were all aboard a half guided by a crazy person and someone came to arrive to shoot this means. But I don’t know who my first enemy is. The danger to the Iranians has doubled and certainly this regime is not a reference, it is not a protection ».
Do you mean that Iran is somehow responsible for Israel’s attacks?
“Every chief of state, by definition, has a duty to protect his people, his borders and his well -being. If I, head of state, am creating problems in the world, if they are telling me to stop with nuclear power and they also make me offers – because in the last negotiation there have been offers to stop the nuclear program – and I do not find any of these proposals with stubbornness, because I want to go on my way, here I am taking my population to drift. Since 1979 the first declared purpose of this regime has been eliminated the Jewish state. In Tehran there were huge scores in the city with the countdown of days, hours and seconds, for the disappearance and elimination of the Jewish state “.
The world is worried about Iran’s nuclear threat. What do you think?
«I followed the latest treatises very well and I had the feeling that this way of raising the wall by the regime, in not wanting to carry on the negotiations, was a way to earn time for itself, to carry on the enrichment of uranium. So yes, for me it was and is an imminent danger ».
Israel gave a hard blow to the regime, killing the 9 scientists who worked on the plan for the atomic.
«Many nuclear sites have been affected in these three days, so we don’t know how the situation is now. Surely having lost the people who worked on the plan, from now the times will be longer. But, can I tell you? I have a great regret of this situation ».
Which?
«How come the world has decided to tolerate all this for decades and why has it never taken this danger seriously? Why were international authorities so compliant? Iran has always hindered any treaty and has always prevented access to some sites for inspections … why this danger has not been taken seriously, while knowing that the objectives of this state are exporting its ideology all over the world and eliminating the Jewish state? Unfortunately there are lobby dependent on the regime that are very active both in Europe and in the United States, this is the reason why the eyes have been closed unfortunately. But at what price? ».
