The British Air Force announced that the contract for the supply of the Project Mosquito unmanned fighter aircraft has been awarded to Spirit AeroSystems. Writes about this The Drive.
The company, based in Northern Ireland, will design and build a prototype aircraft capable of semi-autonomous operation with other manned aircraft.
The ultimate goal of the Mosquito Project aircraft is to demonstrate the possibility of creating a low-cost unmanned fighter that could autonomously operate alongside Typhoon, F-35B Lightning and Tempest fighters by the end of this decade.

The fighter drone, according to the United Kingdom Defense Ministry, will be equipped with missiles, surveillance and electronic warfare.
They want to start flight tests of the device by the end of 2023.
