The budget of the projects that have been included in the Recovery Fund is over € 10 billion

Another 57 projects, with a total budget of 1.7 billion euros, are included in the Recovery and Resilience Fund, with decisions signed by the Deputy Minister of Finance responsible for the implementation of “Greece 2.0”, Mr. Thodoros Skylakakis.

The projects are “divided” in the four pillars of the National Plan, which is in full swing. In particular, 4 projects, amounting to 50.75 million euros, concern the “Green Transition”, 6 projects, budget 227.35 million euros, in the “Digital Transition”, 15 projects, amounting to 490.18 million euros, in ” Employment – Skills – Social Cohesion “and 32 projects, with a budget of 927.68 million euros, in” Private investment and transformation of the economy “.

These recent additions – and more will follow – increase the number of projects to be implemented under “Greece 2.0” to 230, with a total budget of 10.2 billion euros, respectively.

It is recalled that in July 2021 the first “package” of membership in the Fund was announced, specifically it concerned 12 projects, totaling 1.42 billion euros. To these were added 36 projects (1.34 billion euros) in October 2021, another 55 (3.35 billion euros) in January 2022 and 70 (2.4 billion euros) in March 2022.

Green Transition

– Financing of independent studies for the characterization of municipal roads in at least 120 Municipal Units (36,854,598.25 euros)

– Independent studies for delimitation of settlements of pre-1923 or less than 2,000 inhabitants in at least 50 Municipal Units (8,095,464 euros)

– Fixing and restoration of the building of Neos Voustasiou in the former royal Estate of Tatoiou & its Reuse as a Museum (4,300,000 euros)

– Reuse of the Palace as a Museum: It concerns the implementation of the Museological and Museographic study, in order to organize the permanent exhibition that will be created in the Palace of the former Royal Estate of Tatoi (1,500,000 euros)

Digital Switch

– Upgrading of cash registers, electronic tax mechanisms and electronic payment mechanisms (162,440,000 euros)

– Digitization of the Diplomatic and Historical Archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (24,600,000 euros)

– Digitization of the files of the Immigration and Asylum system (20,057,000 euros)

– Global Digital Information Center Platform: The project concerns the collection of open source information from the Central Office and the Authorities Abroad (Embassies, Permanent Representations and Consulates) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (14,999,040 euros)

– Strategic and Operational Planning Support System of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (5,000,000 euros)

– Development and operational support of an online Platform for the Registry of Infrastructures and Electricity Purchasing Agencies (255,000 euros)

Employment, Skills, Social Cohesion

– Improving the digital readiness of hospitals: As part of the project, the operation of secondary care will be strengthened, through the automation of many procedures, e.g. upgrading of information systems and infrastructure of hospitals, unified system of drug management and monitoring, etc. (173,083,021.68 euros)

– Design and implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR): Through this application, citizens and their treating physicians will be able to have, in compliance with the relevant protocols, electronic access to all medical data of patients (55,884. 220.80 euros)

– Secondary prevention – Preventive diagnostic mammography tests against cancer (50,476,400 euros)

– Awareness program on workplace diversity and gender equality (€ 47,082,866)

– Pilot program of personal assistant to support independent living for People with Disabilities: Concerns the strengthening of social inclusion, independent living, employment and early childhood intervention for people and children with disabilities (39,483,000 euros)

– National Telemedicine Network (GRNET), in order to improve the quality of medical services to all citizens of the country (29,932,311.64 euros)

Creation of new Mental Health Housing Units to enhance the accessibility of the population to Mental Health services: day centers, memory clinics, counseling centers, etc. (26,409,520 euros)

– Vocational Education and Training Platform (VET), in order to modernize the way VET is provided, to strengthen the connection between educational qualifications and the real needs of the labor market, etc. (19,967,599.72 euros)

Creation of new Mental Health Units to enhance the accessibility of the population to Mental Health services: boarding schools for patients who are in the final stage of dementia, for adolescents with autism, for adults with autism, etc. (19,833,800 euros)

– ESchools: Digital Services for schools. It aims at the redesign, the upgrade, the expansion, and the full interoperability of the existing information systems that currently operate for Primary and Secondary education in Greece and / or their replacement by new ones, where deemed necessary (14,025,843.36 euros )

– Digitization & Document Management System at the Central Service of YMA & Decentralized Administrations (7,719,000 euros)

– Actions to address the long-term consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic (long COVID-effect) in Mental Health (€ 3,100,000)

– Digitization and storage of OAED files: It concerns the targeted archiving of the OAED paper archive, by placing it in a common place and the adoption of innovative storage procedures – logistics (2,064,600 euros)

– Vocational Training (Basic / Digital / Technical Skills), in the framework of the action: Enhancing the social integration of third country nationals and their awareness, through their training, in order to join the National Mechanism for Crisis Management and Risk Management6.08 (8 )

– Digitization and storage of OAED archives: Digitization of the archive of the OAED building stock (privately owned buildings, settlements of workers’ residences, etc.), which concerns building archives, plans, etc. (279,000 euros)

Private investment and transformation of the economy

– Program for mobilizing new investments through business participations. It concerns the use of loans, within the framework of the Recovery and Sustainability Mechanism, in order to facilitate the provision of financial incentives in the private sector and the promotion of private investments, through business participations (500,000,000 euros)

– Interventions in 13 regional airports (Corfu, Kavala, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Akti, Chania, Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos, Kos, Skiathos, Mytilene and Samos), in order to comply with the requirements of the European Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) EUR 133,998,290)

– Museum of Underwater Antiquities in Piraeus (77,563,212.46 euros)

– Smart Processing: Concerns the financing of investment projects of very small, small and medium enterprises in the industry (75,181,171.20 euros)

– Upgrading the skills of the human resources of the Public Sector, e.g. through the institutionalization of telework (24,536,256.96 euros)
