Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen suffered a slight neck sprain when she was attacked by a man in central Copenhagen yesterday, her office said today. “Furthermore, the prime minister is safe and sound, but is shocked by the incident,” the statement said, adding that Frederiksen was taken to hospital for a medical check-up after the incident late last night. All of the prime minister’s official duties have been canceled for today, according to her office. Danish police announced today that a 39-year-old man will be brought before a judge for a preliminary questioning in connection with the attack on the prime minister.
