The delightful smile of a deaf baby who hears his mother’s voice for the first time

A hearing-impaired baby hears his mom’s voice for the first time in his life and is more than happy.

The parents of 2-year-old Harrison Rex learned about their child’s condition 14 hours after his birth. Mother Eisha-Marie Stone and father Chris Rex, from Perth Australia, have not stopped looking for a cure since.

When the baby was 6 weeks old, he received his first hearing aid. In the tender video, we see mom yelling at the baby by name and he listening to her voice for the first time ever.

His wide smile says it all. “I did not expect such an emotional reaction from a 6.5-week-old baby,” Mom said as she shared the material.

Since then child has made a lot of progress. He started a special training program at the age of 4 months and now, at the age of 2, he can form sentences and speak like children of his age…
