Renamed Meta, Facebook unveiled its first post-rebrand device. These are augmented reality glasses now hiding under the codename Project Nazare. Probably the serial product will be called differently.

The head of the company, Mark Zuckerberg, said that these will be the first full-fledged augmented reality glasses. On the one hand, the statement is quite loud, on the other, given that we are talking about glasses, it is also impossible to say that there is a full-fledged mass product on the market now. However, before the release of the product, as noted by the creators, a few more years, and Apple glasses may allegedly come out in the next.
So far, the device is still in development, and Meta hasn’t even shown it.
There is a lot of technical work to be done to get the right form factor and features. We have to fit holographic displays, projectors, batteries, radios, custom chips, cameras, speakers, sensors to reflect the world around you, and more in glasses about 5 mm thick.
Project Nazare Points will be prominent in the new Metaverse. By means of this device, the company, apparently, wants to bring the communication of users of its software platforms to a new level. But so far we only have early demos, very similar to what Magic Leap originally showed.
