Since the news broke that Netflix and director Tim Burton would make a series live action from the iconic Addams family but focused on the life of the mysterious daughter of the most terrifying marriage, we can’t wait any longer to see it.
Although a few months ago it was confirmed that actress Christina Ricci, who played Merlina Addams on the big screen in the 90s, will be part of the cast of wednesday and then launch a teaser which shows Jenna Ortega characterized in her role as Merlina, the first images of the complete family have finally been published!
This August 16, through its official social networks, Netflix shared a photograph showing all the members of the Addams family. In the image you can see Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jenna Ortega, Luis Guzmán and Isaac Ordonez embodying their characters Morticia, Wednesday, Gomez and Pugsley, respectively.
The character that stands out the most in this installment is the patriarch of the Addams family, since his appearance is completely different from the one shown in the film adaptations of the 90s, starring Puerto Rican actor Raúl Juliá.

Alfred Gough, one of the creators who helped Burton with the creation of the family, assured that regarding the character of Gómez Addams, they wanted the silhouette to be more like the cartoons of Charles Addams, since in that version, the height of Gomez is much shorter than Morticia’s, quite the opposite of the soft version that Raúl Juliá showed in the movies.
The series is scheduled to premiere this fall on the platform of streamingwhich will consist of eight episodes, the duration of which is still unknown.
However, the images were only the beginning of the presentation of the new Addams family, since in the early hours of August 17, the official Netflix Twitter account shared the first official trailer for wednesday.
