The hybrid filler. Allergan Aestethics has just launched its first on the market hybrid filler: HArmonyCaTM, a double-acting injectable that contains two active ingredients: thehyaluronic acid (HA) – key ingredient in face filler formulations – e calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA), a substance capable of stimulating the production of collagen. “The added value of this type of filler is precisely the composition that allows it to act in a two-dimensional way on skin aging not only with a filling effect, but also a preventive effect thanks to biostimulation”, says Maurizio Cavallini, Specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
HArmonyCaTM is a filler of cross-linked hyaluronic acid which is ideally used for the middle and lower third of the face. “It is injected using a cannula with a single insertion point that is fanned to cover a C-like surface. Duration is subjective, but normally 9 months is a compatible time. This filler can be combined with the correction of the chin, cheekbone or botulinum toxin, but I recommend not making a hyaluronic acid filler in the same place », says Cavallini.
The future of aesthetic medicine. «We are increasingly moving towards the association of several products and techniques combined with each other for a synergistic and tailor-made result. We will no longer think only of correcting the morphology, but of regenerating tissues and cells.
