A month after Huawei introduced the Huawei Nova 9 and Nova 9 Pro smartphones in China, the manufacturer announced the launch of the Huawei Nova 9 on the global market. Unfortunately, the older version remains exclusive to China.
The global version of the Huawei Nova 9 smartphone is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, while there is no modem for working in fifth-generation networks. The amount of RAM is 8 GB, users have access to 128 or 256 GB of flash memory.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate curved on the sides. The battery capacity is 4300 mAh, there is support for 66-watt charging. The main camera is equipped with image sensors with a resolution of 50, 8, 2 and 2 megapixels.
Unfortunately, despite going outside of China, the smartphone does not have Google mobile services and the Google Play app store. It runs the proprietary EMUI 12 shell on top of Android 11.
Huawei Nova 9 is offered in two colors starting at $ 499. Huawei is offering free broken screen replacement for the first year. Pre-sales start today, with pre-order customers receiving Huawei FreeBuds 4 headphones.
