THE Paris Films released the trailer for “The Hanged Men “, new film starring Leandra Leal (“Full of Charm “) and Iranhir Santos (“Pantanal “). The production hits theaters in November 21st .
According to the official synopsis, the plot follows Regina (Leal) and Valério (Santos), a couple faced with debts and betrayals from Valério’s family. In trying to solve their problems, they come up with a plan that seems perfect. However, when they put it into practice, they end up immersed in the chaos of the animal game in Rio de Janeiro.
The film is also inspired by “Macbeth “, William Shakespeare’s tragedy that explores the murder of a king and its repercussions.
“The Hanged Men” is directed by Fernando Coimbra known as “The Wolf Behind the Door “. Coimbra returns to national cinema after directing episodes of series such as “Narcos “, “Dilemma ” and “Perry Mason “.
The feature film officially premieres this Friday (6) at Toronto Film Festival and is also in the official selection of Rio Festival 2024 .
