The Russian office of the Chinese company Haval announced the imminent release of a compact crossover called Jolion. This is the Russian version of the Chulian model, which went on sale in the domestic market at the end of last year.
The new crossover is built on the LEMON modular platform, which also underlies the third generation Haval H6. According to the company, this should provide the car with good dynamics, economy, a high level of safety and comfort. According to available information, the Jolion will be slightly smaller than the Haval F7 – the length of the novelty is 4 472 mm, and the wheelbase is 2 700 mm. At the same time, the company noted that this is a fairly spacious car in its class.
Jolion will be produced in the Tula region in a full production cycle, like all other Haval models that are now on the Russian market. The car will be offered in one version – with a 1.5-liter petrol “turbo four” with a capacity of 143 hp. The engine is paired with a 6-speed “mechanics” or with a 7-speed “robot” with a wet double clutch type. In both variants, the car will be front-wheel drive.
The company does not disclose more detailed information about Jolion, but the premiere is just around the corner. Haval is expected to start selling the new product as early as next month. Prices are not yet known, but the future novelty will become the most affordable brand model on the Russian market.
