The Court of Instruction number 6 of the National High Court has annulled the summons as a defendant in the so-called ‘Zed case’ of Anton Kudryashov, director of a company owned by Russian magnate MijaÃl Fridman. Likewise, the citation, also as investigated, of Ãlexes Azarenkov, Regional Director for Eastern Europe of the Zed Technology Company. Judge Manuel GarcÃa-Castellón has issued an order this morning in which he clarifies that the summons of both was made “by mistake” and, therefore, renders the measure without effect.
The National Court recently shelved the investigation against Fridman, whom the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office accuses of maneuvering to acquire the PÃrez Dorset family company at a low price using the technique called ‘raider’ to take over the company illegally. The Public Ministry has appealed the dismissal of the case against Fridman.
The summons for Kudryashov and Azarenkov had been set for next March 9 and 22 due to a “material error in the wording of the order,” as the judge now states.
