The manufacturing PMI rises to 55.1 in February and improves the 54.9 expected

The index UK Markit Manufacturing PMI is up one point in February, rising to 55.1, maximum of two months, from the previous 54.1. The result improves the 54.9 forecast by the market.

According to the IHS Markit report, growth has been tempered by disruptions in supply chains and mounting cost pressures in February.

The business optimism of the sector, however, rises to a maximum of nearly six and a half years.
