The new Dexter, Patrick Gibson details how he was inspired by Michael C. Hall

Known for the series “The OA”, the actor Patrick Gibson 29, is about to achieve her first major career breakthrough. The Brit takes on the role of Dexter Morgan in “Dexter: Original Sin “, a series that premiered on Paramount+ this Friday (13).

He adds: “From there, I looked for elements that had personal meaning for me and integrated them into the character.”

Set in Miami in 1991, the plot of “Dexter: Original Sin” follows Dexter in his transition from student to serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, he must learn to channel his inner darkness, according to the synopsis..

With guidance from his father, Harry, he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on the authorities’ radar. To make matters more complicated, Dexter must balance his extralegal affairs with a new forensic internship at the Miami Metropolitan Police Department.

The production stars Patrick Gibson (“The OA”). Names like Christian Slater (“Death Attraction”), Christina Milian (“Amor da Aluguel”) and more make up the cast. Michael C. Hall who played Dexter in the original series, which aired from 2006 to 2013, returns as Dexter’s inner voice.

Patrick Dempsey (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and Sarah Michelle Gellar (“Buffy – The Vampire Slayer” are also in the cast.
