Sky Documentaries recalls the dramatic three days of 20 years ago with The thin red zone – The G8 in Genoa twenty years later, the Sky Original documentary on air Monday 19 July at 9.15 pm on channels 122 and 402 and streaming on NOW. Ten points of view, through the images of 10 filmmakers, supplemented by interviews with the protagonists of the time, to retrace those dark days for our democracy and, even more, for civil rights.
Of the 10 filmmakers, three of them follow the protesters in white overalls, three others are together with police. Two are with Don Gallo e Franca Rame, the last two document the frenetic activity of the editorial staff of the local TV in Genoa, Primocanale, led by a director of only 27 years. The chronicle of the events of that day relives as it unfolded before their eyes, from sunrise to sunset.
