A new video of the Cybertruck prototype at Tesla’s Fremont plant has surfaced online. It was filmed from a drone and shows some changes to the electric pickup compared to earlier models. Apparently, the workers were doing something with the car when the drone hovered over them.
Perhaps they were testing new equipment, but when they noticed the quadcopter, they put their work on hold.
In January of this year, Tesla confirmed that production of the Cybertruck had been delayed until at least 2023. Looks like the company is still actively working on the pickup. This isn’t the first drone footage from the Tesla factory, and it certainly won’t be the last. However, this time the pilot got too close to the Cybertruck. So close that the employees of the company began to worry. All this will surely force Tesla to take some measures to prevent similar leaks in the future.
Judging by the video, the pickup has new black lining on the body. Another notable change is the absence of the giant janitor seen in previous leaks. Employees of the company could install sensors in the pickup prototype or test the software. A pile of boxes near the car suggests that new parts or some equipment were unpacked.
Elon Musk said last December that the Cybertruck would receive several upgrades to better compete with Ford, Chevy and Rivian. Among them, the crab mode, control of all four wheels and other improvements.
