In the wake of the great international music awards, the next one to be held is the Billboard Music Awardswhich takes place on May 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Leading this year’s nominations is The Weekndfinalist in 17 categories, followed by doja catwith 14, and Olivia Rodrigo and Justin bieberwhich both compete for 13 awards.
Billboard celebrates the chart-topping artists from April 10, 2021 to March 26, 2022, those who have had the most interactions with fans, including album and digital music sales, streaming, radio play and engagement on social media.
In this edition, five new categories were announced, four based on Billboard’s first global charts and one highlighting viral songs.
Ed Sheeran is a finalist in all four new global categories and his song “Bad Habits”.
