2021 is officially the year of reboots. There are many coming out and just as many have been announced, like the one of Pretty little liars. The last episode aired in 2017, but fans of the series have always hoped that the story would somehow continue. Desire realized because the new episodes are currently in progress, managed by Roberto Aguirre Sacasa, creator of The terrifying adventures of Sabrina e Riverdale.
A guarantee especially for horror and mystery lovers. Apart from this, little is known about the new plot which, however, should tell the story of completely new characters who always live in the mythical Milwood. Compared to the original series, it will be set 20 years later and the new group of girls at the center of the story will be haunted by a stranger seeking revenge for some events that happened many years ago and made by their parents.
The protagonists of these new adventures – collected under the explanatory title Pretty little liars: original sin – are, for the moment, Chandler Kinney e Maia Reficco. The first will perform Tabby, aspiring horror film director with more than a few secrets to keep hidden (a bit like the character of Alison DiLaurentis), the second will be Noa, a sports champion who, however, spent a period of time in reform school. Some of the original cast members could be added to them, like Lucy Hale who has always declared herself open and willing to return in the shoes of her beloved Aria.
Still early to know the release date, but as happened with the reboot of Gossip Girl, the new episodes will be available on HBO Max. Let’s just hope they arrive soon!
