Sherlock’s sister returns to the screen. Yesterday, Netflix announced that there will be a sequel to Enola Holmes, crime and mystery tape focused on the youngest of the Holmes family and which was released last year in the platform’s catalog.
Although there are not many details yet, the service giant streaming revealed that Henry Cavill will return as the famous detective, Sherlock. Meanwhile, Jack Thorne and Harry Bradbeer will participate as writer and director, respectively.
No release date has yet been confirmed or if Sam Claflin will return as Mycroft, the eldest of the Holmes brothers, but one fact is for sure: Millie Bobby Brown will star in the film alongside Cavill.
Another important detail is that this story will be based on the second book of the novels by Nancy Springer, entitled The case of the left-handed lady. In this sequel, Enola will attempt to search for a left-handed artist known as Lady Cecily while being searched by her own brother.
Enola Holmes It premiered on Netflix in September last year, receiving rave reviews from experts with a 95 percent approval rating on sites like Tomatazos. In addition, it was seen by more than 76 million households within 28 days of its premiere.
It’s believed that if the platform plays its cards right, it could get its hands on the next big teen movie franchise. Using her incredible status as a youth star, Millie Bobby Brown will be an executive producer on the sequel, just as she was on the first installment.
