Thief at ‘Polo Polo’ funeral poses as a reporter and steals photographic equipment

After the death of Leopoldo Roberto García Peláez Benítez, better known as Polo Polo, on January 23 at the age of 78, family, friends and members of the Mexican entertainment industry gathered to say their last goodbye to the comedy star in a funeral home in Mexico City.

However, the humorist’s honors were affected by a lover of foreign things, who took advantage of the media significance of his death to infiltrate the place and steal photographic equipment.

According to Information from journalist Carlos Jiménezshared through his Twitter account, the thief posed as a reporter and when he entered the funeral home, he took a backpack with photographic equipment from journalist Alex Inzunza.

As reported by Carlos Jiménez, after the corresponding complaint was filed by the affected person, the Secretary of Citizen Security of Mexico City is already looking for him for the robbery committed during Polo Polo’s funeral.

It is worth mentioning that Alex Inzunza shared on social networks some images captured at the funeral that show the face of the thief, who, realizing that he is being recorded, avoids his gaze, for which the journalist asks that in case he is recognized, notify the police so that your work equipment can be returned to you.
