Melanie Rose is the host of his new reality series Netflix “How To Build a Sex Room” which airs today Friday July 8th. The British designer indoor spaces, originally specialized in luxury kitchens and bathrooms. However, about 10 years ago he decided to enter the world of “sex rooms”when a customer asked her if she had ever designed one.
“I said no, but I was curious. So I went home and did some research (on sex rooms). I thought: “these don’t look like much…. attractive, I’m sure I could do better!” she said.

Rose meets several couples who confide in her fantasies them and consult her on how they will manage to transform a space in their home into a private… “carnal paradise”.
“Honey, I’m the Mary Poppins of Sex Rooms”, Rose told The Post, referring to her new job. As she confided, her nickname was given to her by one of her clients.

In accordance with New York Post article, the purpose of the reality show is for the 54-year-old presenter to help couples transform their homes into kinky playgrounds. Always depending on the tastes of each couple…
On the show, Rose visits each couple in their home and assesses the space they want to turn into a sex room, such as a basement or spare room.
“When some people hear about a sex room, the image they have in their mind is that it involves something disgusting and dirty. And it’s not,” he said. “I bring couples together, I talk with the partners and bring them what they desire in their fantasies,” he said.

As he said of the polyamorous couple Lester and Soriya, this included making one “luxury dungeon” as he mentioned. The “special” room consists of a 9-foot-wide bed to accommodate the couple’s five companions as well as a wardrobe with baskets containing favorite sex toys their. The setting is completed with sensuous velvet panels as well as a piece of furniture that doubles as a cage.

On the other hand, the more artistic couple Betty and Brody wanted a room to use when they transform in the evenings and play different personas. For them Rose designed a bathroom with a Hollywood feel. She specially decorated the tub with details of slavery, including a hanging bar above the ceiling for the couple to explore the form of “Japanese rope slavery” known as shibari.

Asked what is “the key” to a good sex room. The designer showed off her… Mary Poppins bag of tricks, which includes sex toyssuch as handcuffs and whipping.
“It’s a tool of the trade that I’ve picked up and moved on,” Rose said. “My job is to find out what they want to bring into that room to further enhance their sex lives,” she added.
The designer however refused to answer whether she has designed sex rooms for celebrities – “because I signed NDAs” she said.
