The Russians fired into a residential area, damaging four-story buildings, a hotel, parking lots and vehicles.” Donetsk region governor Pavlo Kirilenko said on social media.

“Three civilians were killed. At least two were injured,” he added, before later revising the toll upwards to 14.

The governor said rescuers and police on the ground were “carefully documenting another crime by the Russian occupation forces” in Ukraine.
