Three men identified as members of the militia led by Luiz Antônio da Silva Braga, known as Zinho, were arrested while trying to make undue charges to traders, in Santa Cruz, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (21).
The complaint that the men, aged 22, 23 and 39, worked in the region came via Hotline. According to information received by the police, the criminals were circulating in the area in a white car. After viewing the vehicle with similar characteristics, the approach was made.
During the action, a fourth suspect managed to escape. The other three surrendered. The military police, from the 27th BPM (Santa Cruz), also seized two pistols, a revolver, as well as the car and three cell phones.
The suspects and the seized material were taken to the 36th DP (Santa Cruz). The three were charged with the crimes of forming a private militia, illegal possession or possession of a restricted and permitted caliber firearm.
Zinho has been in prison since Christmas Eve last year, after turning himself in to the Federal Police.
