Today, a legislative regulation will be submitted to the Parliament by which the Ministry of Environment and Energy will close the window for indirect increases through fixed electricity bills.
The relevant announcement was recently made by the Prime Minister during his presentation to the cabinet.
According to information, the regulation will provide that the balance charges on the accounts will not be able to exceed the level of the balance on July 4, i.e. the period before the start of the government measures for the ceiling in the wholesale market and the suspension of the clause readjustment.
It is worth noting that the August tariff charges announced by several providers included increases in fixed charges in order to keep competitive charges lower.
According to the same information, the Ministry of Environment and Energy will give the companies a few days to adjust, if they wish, the prices to the competitive charges, given that the fixed charge will return to previous levels.
